Scarlett New

Wardrobe Stylist & Vintage Curator

I’m the owner & curator of Honey Ruth Vintage and have been curating vintage collections and personal style bundles since 2018.

I am passionate about buying second-hand and sustainable products that can be curated, upgraded, repaired, and repurposed instead of buying new. Clothing pieces contain ‘embedded’ materials and energy that went into making them. This will all go to waste if you dispose of them prematurely. Also, my creative outlet has always been fashion. As I grew up, I realized my interest in fashion wasn’t something that I liked to necessarily express for myself, but through others. In high school, I fell in love with thrifting outfits for my friends. People would ask them where they got their clothes from, they would direct them to me, and I realized I had something special. I started taking on more clients over time, and eventually created Honey Ruth Vintage. I love helping people express themselves and feel confident through second-hand fashion.

I can’t wait to work with individuals on creating a collection of vintage to elevate their personal wardrobe or to help them curate specific pieces for a photoshoot, job, etc. The possibilities are truly endless, and it's so exciting! Every style bundle/session is completely custom to each client and one of a kind! All clothing items and accessories that I curate are vintage pieces ranging from the 40’s to early 2000’s. I have an eye for high-quality clothing and natural fibers.

I am grateful that my favorite things to do are very intertwined and connected to Honey Ruth Vintage. I love going to local thrift stores, estate sales, and yard sales to source unique pieces. I am currently working with my grandmother Ruth to learn how to sew. I am excited to incorporate this into every aspect of Honey Ruth Vintage by offering handmade pieces and services to lengthen the life cycle of vintage pieces. My ultimate dream is to open my own storefront that encapsulates different sustainable and women-owned businesses.
